ORLANDO’NUN ETKİLEŞİM TEORİSİNİN UYGULAMADA KULLANIMINA BİR ÖRNEK: TİP 1 DİYABETES MELLİTUS
Özet
Orlando’nun Etkileşim Teorisi, hemşire-hasta ilişkisini geliştirmekte, hastanın sıkıntısını azaltmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Tip 1 Diyabetes Mellitus (T1DM) tanısı olan bir adölesana Orlando’nun Etkileşim Teorisi çerçevesinde verilen bakımın örneği sunulmuştur. Veriler, hasta ile yapılan görüşmeler ve gözlemlerle toplanmıştır. Yapılan görüşmelerde hastanın fiziksel kısıtlanmalar, ortama uymayan tepkiler ve gereksinimleri iletmede yetersizlik nedenleriyle yardıma gereksinim duyduğu belirlenmiştir. Hastanın gereksinimleri karşılandıkça sözel ve sözel olmayan davranışlarında olumlu değişiklikler olduğu, hastalık yönetimine uyumunun arttığı ve HbA1C düzeyinin %13.4’ten %9.1’e düştüğü bulunmuştur.
